用英文在面試講自己的經驗：自我介紹、專案、失敗與反問的十句話

英文口說練習區的「面試」情境原本只有兩句。這篇補上十句，範圍是面試裡最常被問到的四段內容。

先說清楚一件事：這篇的句子原本有幾句是為了示範句型放的範例值，現在已經換成我自己的真實內容，並去掉公司與產品名。練習時要換成你自己的經歷，面試才用得上。

我當時想說什麼

對象是面試官，語氣正式但不僵硬。想做的事有四種：

  • 自我介紹：專長是哪些領域、現在在哪一類公司
  • 講一個專案：我負責什麼、結果怎麼樣、最難的地方
  • 講一次失敗或意見不同：哪裡判斷錯了、怎麼解決、之後改了什麼
  • 反問面試官：團隊怎麼分工、這個職位一開始的目標

在這個情境可以怎麼說

以下每一句都是依字典句型改寫的，不是字典原句。

一、自我介紹

想說的意思這個情境可用的說法
我在 RAG 管線、context engineering 和 agent 記憶系統方面有經驗。I have experience in RAG pipelines, context engineering, and agent memory systems.
我目前在一家做 AI agent 平台的公司工作。I currently work for a company that builds an AI agent platform.

experience：Oxford 列出三種後面的接法，各有例句（experience）：

  • experience in + 領域：He gained extensive experience in the field of artificial intelligence
  • experience as + 角色：I have over ten years' experience as a teacher
  • experience of + 事情：Do you have any previous experience of this type of work?

所以講領域用 in RAG pipelines，講職稱用 as a backend engineer。要講年數的話，字典有 ten years' experience 和 years of experience 兩種寫法。我不確定自己該報幾年，所以這句不講年數。

work for：Oxford 的 work 有 She works for an engineering company（work）。currently 的意思是「目前」，例句 All the options are currently available（currently）。描述公司做什麼，我用 build，字典例句是 We build computer systems for large companies（build）。

二、講一個專案

想說的意思這個情境可用的說法
我負責設計並實作 agent 的記憶功能。I was responsible for designing and building the agent's memory feature.
我們把附件上限從 100 MB 降到 10 MB。We reduced the attachment limit from 100 MB to 10 MB.
最難的部分是找出一個沒有任何錯誤訊息、也沒有 log 的 bug。The hardest part was finding a bug that produced no errors and no logs.

responsible for + V-ing：Oxford 的例句是 Mike is responsible for designing the entire project（responsible）。design 和 build 可以並列，字典有 He designed and built his own house（design）。

「實作」我原本想用 implement。Oxford 標它是正式用字，定義是讓已經決定的事開始執行，例句是 implement changes/decisions/policies（implement），沒有軟體功能的例句，所以主句改用字典有直接例句的 build。building 只用在自己從頭做的功能；整個產品是本來就有的，講產品時要用 improving。

reduce … from A to B：Oxford 的例句 The number of employees was reduced from 40 to 25（reduce）。只講降了多少用 by：Costs have been reduced by 20%。

The hardest part was + V-ing：Oxford 的 part 有 The worst part was having to wait three hours in the rain 和 I gave up once I got to the hard part（part）。主句照這個句型，在 was 後面接 finding。log 的軟體用法學習字典沒有收。

三、講一次失敗或意見不同

想說的意思這個情境可用的說法
我當時低估了這件事的複雜度。I underestimated how complex it was.
我和 PM 對檔案大小上限的看法不同，後來我們用正式環境的資料來決定。I disagreed with our PM about the file size limit, so we used production data to make the decision.
從那次之後，我改旗標的語意之前，都會先檢查每一個寫入它的地方。Since then, I've always checked every place that writes a flag before I change its meaning.

underestimate how…：Oxford 列出 underestimate what, how, etc.，例句 We underestimated how long it would take（underestimate）。

disagree with + 人：Oxford 的例句 I must respectfully disagree with my colleague；講意見不同的主題用 on：Victoria and I obviously disagree on this issue（disagree）。「做決定」是 make a decision，例句 Who made the decision to go ahead with the project?（decision）。

Since then + 現在完成式：Oxford 說 since 搭配現在完成式或過去完成式，表示從過去某個時間到現在，例句 That was years ago. I've changed jobs since then（since）。所以這裡用現在完成式 I've always checked。

四、反問面試官

想說的意思這個情境可用的說法
團隊平常是怎麼分工的？How does the team divide up the work?
這個職位前三個月最重要的目標是什麼？What are the most important goals for this role in the first three months?

divide (up) the work：Oxford 的例句 We divided the work between us、Profits were divided up among the staff（divide）。

role、goal：Oxford 把 role 定義為某人在組織裡的職能或位置（role），goal 是希望達成的事，並說明 goal 常指長期的計畫（goal）。

這一組有情境層的依據。求職網站 The Muse 整理了可以問面試官的問題，其中有 What are the most important things you'd like to see someone accomplish in the first 30, 60, and 90 days on the job? 和 Can you tell me about the team I'll be working with?（51 Interview Questions You Should Be Asking）。The Muse 是商業求職網站，不是語言教材；它能說明面試時真的有人建議問這類問題，我的兩句是比較短的改寫。

英文對誰／做什麼時用是否仍是同一個意思
I have experience in RAG pipelines, context engineering, and agent memory systems.講領域主要說法
I have experience as a backend engineer.講職稱是，重點從領域換成角色
I currently work for a company that builds an AI agent platform.講現職主要說法
I currently work at a company that builds an AI agent platform.同樣情境是；Oxford 說 at 用來講某人在哪裡工作，例句 He's been at the bank longer than anyone else（at）
I was responsible for designing and building the agent's memory feature.強調這是我的職責主要說法
I designed and built the agent's memory feature.直接說我做了是，比較短
We reduced the attachment limit from 100 MB to 10 MB.有前後兩個數字主要說法
We reduced the attachment limit by 90%.只講降了多少是，但資訊不同：沒有前後的數字
I disagreed with our PM.重點在「跟誰」主要說法
Our PM and I disagreed on the limit.重點在「哪件事」是，補上意見不同的主題
How does the team divide up the work?問分工方式主要說法
Can you tell me about the team I'll be working with?想多了解團隊不同：問得比較廣，不只分工；The Muse 原句

換內容再說一次

先看中文，自己說一次，再看參考說法。這幾句的內容也都取自我自己的工作。

  1. 我有把外部服務包成 agent 工具的經驗。
    • I have experience in wrapping external services as agent tools.
  2. 我負責設計 trace 的時間軸。
    • I was responsible for designing the trace timeline.
  3. 我們把附件上限降了九成。
    • We reduced the attachment limit by 90%.
  4. 最難的部分是在沒有 log 的情況下找出原因。
    • The hardest part was finding the cause without any logs.
  5. 我低估了這會花多久時間。
    • I underestimated how long it would take.
  6. 從那次之後，我都會先查正式環境的資料。
    • Since then, I've always checked the production data first.

一段短對話

以下是自己寫的練習示例，不是真實面試。回答用的是上面的句子。

A: Could you tell me about a project you worked on?

B: Sure. I was responsible for designing and building the agent's memory feature.

A: What was the hardest part?

B: The hardest part was finding a bug that produced no errors and no logs. I underestimated how complex it was.

A: Have you made a mistake that changed how you work?

B: Yes, with a feature flag on another project. Since then, I've always checked every place that writes a flag before I change its meaning.

自評的標準是能不能把意思說出來，不是字有沒有完全一樣。

仍待核對

這些還沒找到合適來源，先不放進練習：

  • implement a feature 在軟體團隊的口語裡是否通用：字典只有政策、決策的例句
  • 面試回答的整體結構（例如先講情境、再講行動與結果）：這次只查句型，沒有查面試教材
  • 哪一句比較常用：這需要語料庫查詢，這次沒有做

整體來說

十句裡，experience in／as、responsible for + V-ing、since then 搭現在完成式這三個最值得先練，因為每場面試都會用到。來源幾乎都是學習字典，支持的是字義與句型；只有反問面試官那一組有求職網站的情境示範。沒有母語者測試，也沒有頻率比較，所以文中只寫「這個情境可用」。其中五句是我自己的真實內容，已去掉公司與產品名；練習時請換成你自己的經歷。
