Have you got a second to help me out?;請人再看一次說 I think I need another pair of eyes on this;確認理解說 Can I just check that I've understood that right?;沒跟上說 I'm not sure I follow you;不同意先說 I see what you mean, but…;出包說 That's on me;預告壞消息說 I need to give you a heads up;催進度說 Have you had a chance to look at…?

🌏 English version

  • BBC Office English,
  • British Council LearnEnglish

Have you got a second to help me out? I'm having some trouble with this.
I think I need another pair of eyes on this.
Sorry to bother you, but would you mind helping me for a moment?
Can it wait until later? I'd love to help, but I have a few other things I need to sort out.原句
我現在真的忙不過來,有沒有其他人可以幫忙?I'm snowed under at the moment. Is there anyone else that can help?
I can get that done for you. It might mean that we have to push back another deadline though.

主持人把第一句歸為非正式,第三句歸為比較正式、可以對主管用;another pair of eyes 他解釋成 could you have a look for me?。 Have you got a minute? I would if I could, but I can't。

Can I just check that I've understood that right?原句
我不太確定有沒有跟上,你可以再跟我講一次嗎?I'm not sure I follow you. Can you just talk me through that again?
Are we on the same page?

同一集還有 can you walk me through how you usually do this?,主持人說這句對新人特別有用。 Could you walk me through how this part works?

Oxford 字典把 on the same page 列為慣用語(page)。

Hmm, I'm not sure about that. I think we should test it on staging first.
I see what you mean, but I don't think it fits the requirements.but 之後換過
How exactly do you see this working?原句
我們先試兩個星期,看看有沒有影響,好嗎?Why don't we try it for a couple of weeks and see if there's any impact?

Hmm, I'm not sure about that, I think...;British Council I'm not so sure 和 I'm not convinced by that idea。
I see what you mean, but it looks a bit empty、I take your point, but…、I see where you're coming from;BBC 有 that's a good point, … but in this instance, I think we should…。

Have you considered the fact that…?,原對話裡帶點挖苦,用的時候語氣要自己拿捏。

I've accidentally deployed the wrong branch, but I have a plan to fix the problem.
That's on me.
I need to give you a heads up.原句
你有空看過我的 PR 了嗎?Have you had a chance to look at my PR?report 換成 PR
How firm is our deadline on this?

I've accidentally sent the email out early, but I have a plan to fix the problem。 I've got a bit of a problem 和 I've made a mistake。

That's on me 和 I need to give you a heads up 出自 BBC 的 Apologies。Oxford 字典標 heads-up 為 especially North American English(heads-up),但英國的 BBC 也教,所以兩地都聽得到。

How firm is our deadline on this? 出自 Saying no 那一集;Deadlines and logistics 另有 do we have a hard deadline on this?。

Understood, I'll get back with an update in 20 minutes.

Are there any strong objections to this plan?,而不是 Does everyone agree?。

Have you got a second to help me out?
Sorry to bother you, but would you mind helping me for a moment?
I'm not sure about that.
I'm not convinced by that idea. (British Council)
I see what you mean, but…
I take your point, but… (British Council)
That's on me.
Sorry, I let this slip.
How firm is our deadline on this?
Do we have a hard deadline on this?

    • I'm having some trouble with this.
    • Do you mean we should roll it back first?
    • Does that make sense?
    • I've accidentally deleted the wrong file, but I have a plan to fix the problem.
    • Have you had a chance to look at the doc?
    • Understood, I'll get back with an update in 10 minutes.

A: Have you got a second to help me out? I'm having some trouble with this.

B: Sure. What's the problem?

A: I've accidentally deployed the wrong branch, but I have a plan to fix the problem. I think we should roll it back first.

B: Hmm, I'm not sure about that. Why don't we check the logs first?

A: I see what you mean, but users are already affected.

B: OK. Are we on the same page? You roll back, and I tell the team.

A: Yes. I'll get back with an update in 20 minutes.

  • Have you got…?
  • BBC Office English
